Ask around. Check references (at least 3). There are a lot of dishonest people in the world and you are making a sizable investment so, do your homework.
How do I choose the right style of pool and features?
We will work with you to determine the shape, size, style, and features that will suit you and your budget. After all, an Expression Custom Pool is an Expression of you through the art of water.
How long does it take to build a pool?
The project duration is directly proportionate to the size of the project. Obviously, the weather is a factor and can significantly delay a project, but in most cases, a project with a value of $ 75k or less should be completed in about a month. You hear of people whose pools took 2, 4, or 6 months to complete…THAT IS RIDICULOUS! There is NO excuse for that.
How do we start the process of purchasing a swimming pool?
First, locate the survey (plot) of your property. This is usually located within the closing papers for your home. Second, discuss your budget, either a monthly payment or cash. Knowing what you want to spend or don’t want to spend will save a tremendous amount of time. Third, call me and schedule an appointment to view your property and discuss your likes, dislikes, wants, and needs.
How do I know the contractors on my pool have been paid?
It is very common in the industry for contractors to be robbed of payment from the pool builders. There is a measurable supply of labor and easy for a builder to skip paying a crew and move on to another without missing a beat. Ask your builder to supply lien releases at every phase with contact information for that particular contractor so that you can follow up to make sure the document you were given is legitimate.
What does an average pool cost?
There is not an average pool anymore. As a result of technology and I am sure many other factors, the options you are faced with are endless. Therefore, the sky is the limit. Your best bet is to decide what you can afford to spend or want to spend on the project and have your prospective pool builders stick to that budget. This will save a lot of time and frustration with meetings to look at plans that you cannot commit to.
